Taking Our Love for Halloween to a New Level: Supporting autism charities like Logan’s Love
For our family, the crisp autumn air and the flashing strobe lights of Halloween have been a part of who we are for decades. But over the last few years, our favorite holiday transformed from a fun yearly tradition into something much bigger—the absolute heartbeat of our lives.
When we moved our decorating outdoors to create the Ausumtism Lair, it was originally inspired by our son Ryno's incredible journey and how Halloween uniquely gave him his voice. We chose the name as a daily reminder of a simple truth: Awesome + Autism = Ausumtism. But taking our love for Halloween and turning it into a dedicated platform for autism awareness and true acceptance has elevated our family's mission to an entirely new level.
Today, we are completely overwhelmed with gratitude to share that, thanks to the immense generosity of our neighbors, visitors, and YouTube community, we have raised over $7,000 for autism charities since 2022. It is a massive part of why we do what we do, pushing us to make our display bigger, brighter, and more meaningful every single year.
Crossing the $7,000 milestone has been an incredible chapter for us, but the work is far from over. Last season, we dedicated our fundraising and awareness efforts to a phenomenal organization that aligns perfectly with our family’s mission: Logan's Love - Logan Speaks.
Logan’s Love is a charity dedicated to bringing vital resources, community advocacy, and genuine comfort to individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. The foundation was born out of a profound and heartbreaking loss—the tragic passing of Logan himself. Yet, out of that deep grief, his family chose to channel their love into a living tribute, creating an organization that ensures Logan's voice, spirit, and light continue to speak to the world. They work tirelessly to break down barriers and build a society of true inclusion and celebration.
When we look at the hurdles families face, and the mountains our own son has climbed, we know firsthand how vital this kind of support is. Partnering with Logan's Love allowed us to use our display as a megaphone for their mission. Every single donation dropped into our bucket or sent online during our haunt went directly toward helping them honor Logan's memory by providing essential programs and unconditional love to families who need it most.

The Journey Continues into 2026
We have been blessed beyond measure on this journey—from local community support and live morning news broadcasts in our yard, to connecting with an amazing network of creators and fellow haunters who have become true, cherished friends. Halloween has always been our family’s way of lifting up those we love, rooted in a tradition that goes back more than two decades.
As we prepare for our massive 2026 season and get ready to debut some incredible new additions to our three themed zones, our core mission remains exactly the same. We aren't just building a haunted house; we are building a supportive network of acceptance.
